Tone Of Voice

Tone of voice can be shown in many forms of visual communications. For example tone of voice can be shown in text. Whatever a word or piece of text might say the font could empathise the voice at which the word is spoken or is meant to show.

The visual communication above shows an image which helps give the image and text a tone of voice. The image really is what gives this piece of work a tone of voice. James brown in the image looks like he is singing and the text around the image is made to look like it is coming out of his mouth as he sings. Plus the font used is and old hippy sort of text which empathises the music he might be singing and maybe what era of music he is from.

This is a different kind of visual communication showing tone of voice. What the text says helps you understand what the text is about. But the colours used and font used help bring the text to life and give it more meaning. The text says not to bore with fact but to enthrall with story. The colour of the text is empathising this because the colours used help the text stand out and be eye catching upon a black background, this is what is empathising 'not to bore' as its enthralling you, drawing you in to read it. The font used could also be trying to empathise the fun which can be in stories, as the font is quite a cartoon like font which looks fun.
