There are many ways in which something can be interpreted. Here is an example of how the same subject can be interpreted in different ways.
Above is the original, very first series of Transformers which was directed by John Gibbs. Transformers was written and recorded in America but was animated in Japan and South Korea. For the time when it was released this series seemed to be the future in animation and moving image. The line of Transformer series came to an end in 1987 but there was many japanese sequel series to continue the story.
However, in 2007, film producers and directors Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg teamed together to release 'Transformers' the science fiction action film based on the original series and Transformers toy line.
The difference between the both might be the technology at hand at the two different times the series and film had been made but maybe both directors had different views. The views of John Gibbs for the original series was to appeal to children, however, the film directed and produced by Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg was to appeal maybe for children but also for the older generation who knew the old original series. They did this by using the same characters and other original robots too and putting a modern edge to the franchise.
